when i watch masterchef malaysia i found that is totally suck...the contestant is really clumsy and nervous and poor of knowledge...
they might cook very well at home when no body pressure on them so they can cook like in heaven but when they involve seriously in this busines they found out cooking is not easy when somebody yell and push you into the limit when your superior count on you to cook the best dish then they start to nervous and everything going to mess up...
my conclusion is the malaysian contestant not the same level as the masterchef u.s and australia...there is more to upgrade in term of mentality and skill..good luck to the contestant
